Time for Change

Now I have the Brady Bunch "Time for Change" song in my head...the one with Peter's cracking puberty voice!

So I feel the need for change in my life. Work has been ok, I work from home so I can't complain. But I think that I am approaching a time in my life where I want MORE. More fulfillment, more choice, more unique experiences! I have a good friend who had a baby about 6 months ago. He told me that after his son was born that he looked at him and said, "I never want you to do what I am doing, don't spend 10 years of your life sitting in a cubicle!" Truer words have never been said. Yes, we work to pay the bills, we work to feed ourselves, and we work to have medical benefits. But there are those few people out there that say that they love their jobs. Some even say that they would go in to work even if they made significantly less money.

It's time to start some extreme self-exploration. I minored in Sociology in college and absolutely loved it. I love studying social groups, what makes people tick, how people interact with each other. I would even be willing to go back to school to make something happen. What have I got to lose, right?

Dude, AMEN. Predo and I keep trying to figure out a way to be independently wealthy, farm and take care of animals that don't have homes.

I'm sure there is a social element to that you can study! It might be called crazy, but whatevs!

Ah, the struggle of my life. Why can't we make money just being ourselves? Brad Pitt does!

Maybe you could study hairstylists? Then maybe you could get me a discount for corn-rowing my back hair!

All kidding aside, your dilemma is not a new one. I too have wondered down that path many times. Maybe one day I shall meet the true, great and powerful Oz!
