Suddenly Allergic

I have never been allergic to anything in my life. For the last 2 days my eyes have been watering, I have been sneezing like crazy and my nose is constantly running. It doesn't feel like a cold. Yesterday I stopped by the store on my way home to pick up some stuff for dinner. While in line at the cash register I suddenly felt like somebody stuck microscopic feathers up my nose. It was the most unbelievable tickle I have ever felt. I could feel it vibrating. But I couldn't sneeze. I think the register guy thought I had just done some lines in the car before shopping. It was a sneeze tease. That lasted for about 2 hours. This morning I am sneezing like crazy. If I take Benadryl I will pass out for 48 hours. Can't do that, I have work to do. I wish this would stop already.

Have you tried the OTC version of claritin yet? I prefer Allegra myself, but I think that's still prescription only. Anyway, neither one makes me sleepy!

Sorry to hear about your nose tickles, that is the worst. Isaac swears looking at a bright light makes him sneeze in that almost sneezy state. Is that like common knowledge?

I heard about the light thing too. I briefly considered it while in line at the register but quickly nixed it given that there were no Kleenex within a 30-foot radius.

I have heard of the light thing too, but I heard it makes the feeling go away. That only makes me more mad though. I just wanna sneeze damn it!

Itchy nose syndrome sucks big time. I have heard that you can develop allergies at any point in your life, even if you never had them before.
