I'm thinking I may have some opium growing in my side yard. Check it out.
This is what it looks like when it blooms.
We inherited a lot of plants when we bought the house. Can anybody tell me what this is?

Those are definitely poppies....not necessarily the type to make opium with, but they are poppies. If you leave the seedheads on them and just let them spray their seeds all over the place (or you can help them when they dry up, just sprinkle the seeds). They and their mutant friends will continue to show up in your garden. Pretty!
I was going to say poppies. They are beautiful in full bloom.
ever go to saucebox downtown? theres some big mural with that plant on the wall..;)
